We are just a short few weeks from London Book Fair 2016, which marks the 45th anniversary of one of the largest events in the global publishing calendar. It is a fantastic opportunity to explore new innovations in publishing, discuss rights, network with peers and consider further developments are predicted to come over the next year. During the fair we will be hosting a technology seminar, exploring some key issues within the publishing services industry, and showcasing our publishing production platform, Lanstad. Due to continued international expansion, we are seeking an Editorial Project Manager to handle academic books. The Project Manager will liaise with publishers; authors; freelance copy editors, proofreaders and indexers; and in-house departments including typesetting and artwork to see books through their life cycle. Ideally the successful candidate will have editorial experience as well as project management experience in the field of academic publishing. However, candidates with the right skill set and a particular interest in developing a career in publishing, should also apply.
Deanta has been going through a phase of tremendous growth, and as such are currently seeking to expand our pool of freelance copy editors. Jennifer has a keen interest in the areas of XML, metadata and ONIX and, by virtue of many years working inside a publishing house, has a keen understanding of the needs, concerns and priorities of a busy modern publisher.
